Defining and managing layout attributes

Contents

Index

Layouts can be given attributes which can be used to label or filter the layouts later.

The predefined layout attributes include the display mode (e.g., plan, section, elevation and so on), the layout type (e.g. key plan, site plan and so on), the layout size, a custom description or the release date. You can use the layout index attributes to define the index number, the date, the changes in the layout and information on the checker. To find out which predefined attributes are available, see Overview of available layout attributes.

If the predefined layout attributes do not cover all your needs, you can define up to 20 custom layout attributes and assign any value you need.

Tip: Alternatively, use the Properties of layout dialog box to assign attributes (see "Assigning attributes to layouts").
