Adding your own attribute properties to predefined layout attributes

Defining and managing layout attributes / Layout Attributes dialog box

You can can define additional custom attribute properties for the following layout attributes: Layout format, Layout type, Display mode, Scale and Hierarchic code.

To add your own attribute properties to predefined layout attributes

• The Layout Attributes dialog box (How) is open
  

  Activate the Layout Attributes dialog box in one of the following ways

  • The Layout module is open.

  • Menu bar: Create Layout Layout and Project Attributes

  • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout Layout and Project Attributes
  • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s): Layout Layout and Project Attributes
  • Button: ---
  • Shortcut menu: ---

  Or:

  • The Layout module is open.
  • Allplan Exchange dialog box (How) is open.
    

    Activate the Allplan Exchange dialog box in one of the following ways

    • The Layout module is open.

    • Menu bar: Create Layout Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution

    • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution
    • Palette: Tools Basic family Create area Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution

  • Menu bar: ---

  • Toolbar: ---
  • Palette: ---
  • Button: Layout and project attributes (at bottom left)
  • Shortcut menu: ---

1. Using the right moue button, click in the table head of the Layout attributes table and select More... on the shortcut menu.

   The Edit Attributes dialog box opens.

2. Go to the Layout format, Layout type, Display mode, Scale or Hierarchic code attribute and click in the Custom value column on the right.

   A box opens.

3. Enter the attribute property. You can also add several properties. Use a ";" to separate the individual entries.

   Please note the number of maximum characters (Layout format: 31 characters, Scale: 31 characters, Hierarchic code: 48 characters). Several properties need to be separated by semicolons.

4. Click OK.

   The attribute properties you have defined are added to the other default values and can then be assigned to the attribute in the Layout attributes table.
