Cross-Section

The Cross-section task includes all functions that are required for the construction of a cross-section. Creation of individual objects in this regard is explained in detail in the corresponding chapters.

In addition, a multiple selection tool is available for all objects in the cross-section viewport.

For multiple selection, the Ctrl key must be held down while selecting the individual objects (a plus symbol appears at the bottom right-hand edge of the cursor), which are then highlighted to this effect. (Note: Property sets of the same type can also be selected multiple times via the navigation tree).

Such multiple selection can be used to assign a number of selected objects to another layer at the same time via the properties window. (For details about the layers, see Layer window).

Selected objects can also be deleted together (taking into account the dependencies).

For certain object types, it is also possible to change certain corresponding properties together/simultaneously via the property window.

Both the Parametric Lines/Points and Reference Points object types are currently supported.

Corresponding properties with different definitions are labeled with the term *varied* in the properties window. These can be edited together if necessary depending on the type of individual properties. If a property cannot be edited together due to its characteristics (e.g. name of the parametric line), then this is shown "grayed out", otherwise definition of the property can be made for the selected objects together (e.g. distances, angles or variable assignment of parametric lines). The procedure is similar for checkboxes, whereby properties with different definitions (i.e. partially active and inactive) are marked with a gray square in the selection box.
