Individual objects can be placed on different levels using layers. This includes objects in the viewport of the cross-sections and 3D objects in the viewport of the 3D model.
In addition, the line colors and/or the fill colors can be defined for the various object types such as parametric lines, reference points/property set points, boundary lines/property sets and the 3D objects (structural components, tension cables) via the properties windows of the respective layers (by activating the "Default" checkbox, these are reset to the default colors).
In addition, after selecting an object in the viewport of the cross-section or in the viewport of the 3D model (or by selecting it in the navigation tree), individual colors regardless of the layer can be assigned via the properties window or these can be reset to the default colors (checkbox From layer active/inactive).
The various layers can be created in the layer window and set in the Status field as active or visible/invisible in the list by clicking on the corresponding checkboxes in the (whereby only one layer can be active at a time).
The Multiple selection option (SHIFT or CTRL) can be used to make several layers visible or invisible at the same time.
Layer properties (colors for the individual object types) are defined in the respective properties window (see above) after selecting one or more layers via multiple selection.
All created objects are placed on the DEFAULT layer by default.
A new layer can be created via the shortcut menu (right mouse-click in empty space).
Created objects are always placed on the active layer and can only ever be located on a single layer.
Objects can easily be moved to another layer at a later date by selecting the desired layer in the properties window of the selected objects. Multiple selection is also possible here in the cross-section viewport. For further details, see Cross-Section. Multiple selection is currently not supported in the 3D-model viewport. However, the desired objects (structural components) can also be selected multiple times via the navigation tree.
Furthermore, the following options are available via the layer’s shortcut menu too:
Copy/delete layer
Isolate layer
Activates the selected layer and switches all other layers to “invisible”.
This function also supports multiple selection (Shift or Ctrl), whereby the last selected layer (current cursor position) is set to "active" and all other selected layers are set to "visible". All other layers (not highlighted) are set to “invisible”.
Turn on all layers
Sets all layers to the “invisible” status, the active layer remains “active”.
