Define a point grid for positioning grid points within the cross section, which can be used as reference for the definition of tendons

Point grids can be created at the intersection points of parametric lines, whereat their position and orientation can be set relative to the directions of the param. lines.

After positioning the point grid, you can edit their properties such as number of points and distances in the Properties window.

To define a point grid

  1. Click Point grid.
  2. Click the intersection point of two param. lines, whereat the intersection point defines the position and the param. lines define the direction of the point grid.
  3. Choose the position and direction of the point grid by moving the mouse in one of the four areas set up by the lines and confirm the input with the left mouse button.

The directions of the local coordinate axes u and v are graphically displayed.

  4. Define for each direction the required number of points, the offset from the edge and the spacing between the points in the Properties window.
  5. Quit the definition by clicking in some empty area in the cross section window.

Note: You can again edit the properties of this object in the same way as for any other object anytime afterwards by selecting it.

For defining further point grids start this tool again.
