Tool(s): Wall design, basic parameters + Element parameters, precast wall
You can define parameters for the four subtypes (concrete wall panel, sandwich wall panel, base element and facing element). Select a type in the tree structure at the top of the palette. Depending on which type you select, the graphics and the tabs for the parameters change.
Right-clicking in the input area opens a shortcut menu where you can show and hide the description displayed at the bottom of the palette and the graphics in the middle.
In addition, you can add the currently selected area or parameter to the quick input list. When you click QuickInput on the shortcut menu, only the parameters you have added to the quick input list are displayed. There you can remove the currently selected area or parameter from the quick input list and return to Advanced input by selecting this mode on the shortcut menu.
'Element' tab or
'Element' + 'Visible leaf' + 'Insulating layer' + 'Invisible leaf' tabs
You can define the element parameters for concrete wall panels, base elements and facing elements in the Element tab. Allplan provides four tabs for sandwich wall panels: Element, Visible leaf, Insulating layer and Invisible leaf.
Attributes
Element type
Select an element type in the element type catalog. The list box includes all the entries that are assigned to the selected wall element and the current factory.
Concrete grade
Select a concrete grade from the catalog.
Exposure class
Enter the appropriate exposure class.
You need to include the exposure class in reinforcement drawings according to DIN 1045-1, section 4.2.1 (3). Among other things, cement formulation, minimum concrete cover and minimum concrete strength grade depend on the exposure class.
Thickness (sandwich wall panels only)
Thickness of the visible and invisible leaves of sandwich wall panels.
Surface of visible / invisible side
Select a surface from the surface catalog. The list box includes all the entries that are assigned to the current factory.
Material (sandwich wall panels only)
Name of material used for the insulating layer applied to sandwich wall panels.
Reinforcement type
You can specify whether and how basic reinforcement is created by selecting None, Free or Attached. When you choose attached reinforcement, the program takes into account the special rules defined for Attached Reinforcement in the General area of the Configurations.
Rotated production from
This parameter is only displayed if the Reinforcement type is set to Attached basic reinforcement. Wall elements exceeding this value are rotated when they are transferred to production and attached reinforcement is calculated correctly.
Reinforcement
Unless you have set the Reinforcement type to none, you can define basic reinforcement for base and facing elements. Reinforcement for trimming is not available as there are no recesses. When you have selected concrete and sandwich wall panels, you can create reinforcement for trimming even if you decided not to create basic reinforcement.
Basic reinforcement
If you are reinforcing in accordance with as-req., you can limit the reinforcement types to those complying with the Search code specified. You can select the reinforcement type manually or configure Allplan to automatically determine a type based on the required as-value.
Enter the concrete cover and the as-values separately for the interior and exterior reinforcement or select the reinforcement type. When you have selected Attached reinforcement, the program checks the conditions for the mesh welding system (for example, grid, minimum and maximum bar overlaps and so on) for the type specified or determined.
The height (layer 1, layer 2) of the attached reinforcement bars is based on the settings specified for double walls on the Reinforcement layer tab in the Basic wall reinforcement area of Attached Reinforcement ( Configurations - General), as there are no separate configurations for wall panels. The setting for the Visible side is used for the Exterior reinforcement of the wall panel and the setting for the Invisible side for the Interior reinforcement of the wall panel.
In addition, specify more parameters for interior and exterior reinforcement. To do this, click in the relevant line.
Note: Visible indicates the reinforcement or leaf that is on the side of the reinforcement identifier.
The prefix V identifies the visible leaf and the prefix I identifies the invisible leaf of the sandwich wall panel. Index 1 indicates the reinforcement unit of a layer that is on the side of the design identifier and index 2 indicates the reinforcement unit that is on the side opposite the design identifier.
Reinforcement for trimming
When you select the Produce option, the program creates reinforcement for trimming for recesses, which has no effect on the attached basic reinforcement. Specify the parameters for longitudinal bars and stirrups. You can do this separately for the horizontal and vertical edges. To do this, click in the relevant line.
In addition, enter the relevant limits for the offset of the recess to the edge in the unit of length set. If the actual edge offset of the recess is greater than the value entered, Allplan will only create longitudinal bars at the recess.
'Fixtures' tab
When you select the Create option, you can specify which fixtures are to be created automatically in order to connect the wall elements with the columns behind.
Then select the File and Entry of the Allplan fixture and define its Position. You can do this separately for the wall panel and the column. To do this, click and enter the values by which the relevant element is rotated about the individual axes and displaced in the individual directions.
Note: You can use Save as a favorite to save the settings and
Load favorite to read the settings back into the palette, where you can modify them. Click Favorite QuickSelect to select from the five favorites you have used most recently.
