Further parameters for basic reinforcement

Dialog box(es): Element parameters + Element parameters for facing element

Select a type in the tree structure at the top of the palette. The tabs displayed at the bottom of the palette change with the type you select.

Steel grade

You can check and modify the steel grades defined in the configurations.

Bar overlap / Bending shapes / Span direction

Span direction

Span direction of reinforcement in [degrees]. The span direction (i.e., the direction of longitudinal bars) is defined as 0 degrees at a wall. 90 degrees means that the longitudinal bars are installed transverse to the wall.

Bar overlap ...

Enter the bar overlap at the relevant element edge in the unit of length set.

If a value <= 0.00 is entered and if the Bending shapes at any edge tool does not produce a useful value, the concrete cover is used.

Bending shape ...

Specify the bending shape at the relevant element edge. To do this, click in the relevant line.

Select a bending shape at the top of the palette. Enter the bending shape attributes in the units of length and angle set. You can see the bending shapes from the figures. For more information on the individual values, read the description of the preset parameters. You can add a variable to the base values of some values. An example:

d = wall thickness

e = bar overlap as entered

In addition, you can add an end hook to each bending shape. Enable the Hook at end option and enter Length and Angle.

Lock diameter / offset

Lock diameter

If this option is enabled, then the selected diameter is used for the cross and longitudinal bars in the two reinforcement layers. You should note though that the bar layers from the reinforcement types catalog do not apply to this. The program calculates the bar spacing from the required as-Value entered.

Lock offset

If this option is enabled, then the bar spacing entered is used for the cross and longitudinal bars in the two reinforcement layers. You should note though that the bar layers from the reinforcement types catalog do not apply to this. The program calculates the bar diameter from the required as-Value entered.
