The construction Precast Template allows for simulating/calculating the fabrication of precast girders in stressing beds (pretensioning) including heat treatment during curing as well as all subsequent lifting and storing processes. The advantage of the templates is that they can arbitrarily be applied several times to the respective precast girders when they are mounted in the actual construction. The precast girders thus created receive the history of their fabrication by the respective template when they are mounted.
The construction of the precast template can consist of an arbitrary number of phases. In this context, it is important that the phase which represents the time of mounting on site is marked by the option “Mount” in the Properties window. The “Start day” of the local time axis of the construction of the precast template defined there directly (or by variables) equates to the time of mounting on the global time axis in the main construction which is determined by the start day of the task INSTCONC (see below). (The duration of the task INSTCONC, when used in this context, must always be zero). Thus, the start day of the task INSTCONC (time of mounting) defines the end time of the construction of the precast template on the global time axis. The “history” of the construction of the precast template can thus be “calculated backwards” from this time and be inserted in the global construction.
The definition of the particular steps from the fabrication to the mounting is performed via the task area Precast (SUPPORTAT, REMOVALAT and PRECASTG).
The boundary conditions for the fabrication in the stressing bed are defined by placements (Casting Beds. The heating/cooling cycle to be assigned there is defined by a conventional table in Geometry/Structure/Variations.
The assignment of a defined precast template to a precast girder to be mounted is performed within the task INSTCONC via the respective assembly which additionally provides this functionality in its Properties window. Note that this is only possible for structural members of the type Link Girder. Also, in this Properties window, the variables are listed which are created in the Properties window of the precast template and here can be filled with values which are respectively used in the calculation of the construction of the precast template (see “Construction Variables” below).
The particular precast constructions derived from a precast template are also displayed in the menu Constructions under the menu item Precast, whereby their assignment to a template as well as their variables can be viewed and edited in the Properties window.
Construction Variables (Properties window of the construction)
Use the respective symbols/buttons to add, delete or edit variables.
Currently, the value types text and integer are applicable. The values defined here are default values which can individually be adapted later when using the variable.
Variables of the type “text” can be used when assigning assemblies within the task PRECASTG, variables of the type “integer” for the start day of a phase within the construction of a precast template (additional drop-down menu next to the input field for the time input in the Properties window of the phase).
