Create and define tables or formulas for describing the variation of variable parameters of the cross section along the bridge axis.
The variation of a certain cross-section dimension along the axis is defined by creating a table in tables which contains the variable dimension values as ordinate values (y-axis) and the related stations as abscissa values (x-axis). The type of transition between the table values can be individually selected (linear, parabolic).
In formulas the variation of a parameter along the axis can be defined by mathematical expressions.
Care must be taken to ensure that tables and formulas are always defined in relation to type of definition of the stations of the structural member to which they are assigned. That means that the values on the x-axis can represent global, local or relative (or local-end) stations. Also see Stationing (for girders) and Stationing (for piers).
Note: When assigning tables/formulas to variables in the menu Variation of the respective structural member, you must also take care to use the respective internal variable depending on the used type of stations ($s, $sl, $sr, $se). Also see Variation (for girders) and Variation (for piers).
