Assemblies for PRECAST

When using the tool Assemblies within the task PRECASTG in the construction of a precast template, the definition of the assemblies is done via variables defined in the template. After calling up the tool Assemblies, a respective input window appears in which the respective variables can be selected for the different types of assemblies. These variables must be created in advance in the Properties window of the construction of the precast template. For the definition of assemblies, only variables of the type “text” are displayed. The assigned variables can be referenced within the task INSTCONC when used for precast girders by applying respective names to them.

Type

Structural Member

Select the variable for referencing a structural member (i.e. of a particular precast girder)

Tendon Group

Select the variable for referencing a tendon group (defined in the menu Geometry/Tendons)

Note: If the field for selecting the variable is left empty, you can set the option “Automatic” afterwards in the Properties window, whereby all tendons of the structural members as well defined by assemblies in the same task are automatically considered as assemblies.

Tendon

Select two variables for referencing a tendon of a tendon group

Stress Group

Select the variable for referencing a stress group (defined in the menu Analysis / Tendon Stressing)

Note: Optionally, you can deactivate the variable assignment of the assemblies afterwards in the Properties window and manually define an assembly.
