Casting Beds

Define casting beds to be used within the task PRECAST in the structural analysis of pretensioned precast girders

Use the context menu (right mouse button) of the menu item Casting Beds to create new placements for casting beds.

Define the placement of the casting bed in the Properties window.

Release of tendons

Select the type of releasing the tendons from their anchorage (Gradual/Sudden)

Heating/Cooling cycle

Select a table defined in Geometry/Structure/Variations which describes the heating and cooling cycle.

The table must contain the time in the unit hours on the abscissa (X-axis or column X) and the temperature as absolute values in the unit degree Celsius on the ordinate (Y-axis, column Y).

Simplified temperature loss

Select, if the prestress losses due to temperature should be calculated based on the formula (10.3) in chapter 10.5.2 (1) according to EN 1992-1-1.

Maximum temperature

Maximum temperature in degree Celsius according to formula (10.3)

Initial temperature

Initial temperature in degree Celsius according to formula (10.3)

Constant from formula (10.3)

Constant from formula (10.3), default value = 0.5
