Fixture from article catalog

Module(s): Fixtures
Tool(s): Fixtures for precast elements + Edit Element + Element Plan

You can use the Fixture from Article Catalog tool to select fixtures from your own catalogs and place these fixtures in the drawing file. This tool does not come with Allplan Precast by default. It requires a special license.

To place a fixture selected from a custom catalog

  1. Click Fixture from Article Catalog (How) in the Fixtures module
    or
Click Fixtures (How) in the Precast Slab/Wall module and select Fixture from Article Catalog on the context toolbar.

The Selection of Articles dialog box is displayed. You can select a fixture here.

  2. If necessary, click Open catalog and select a catalog. The first time you select this tool, the Open Catalog dialog box is displayed automatically.
Clicking a catalog in the tree view displays information on this catalog in the right pane. You can use the Options ... (Tree tab) to specify whether the Selection name or the Company name is displayed in the tree view.
  3. Click OK to confirm the selection and place the fixture.
A number of tools is provided in the input options to help you do this.
Article numbers are saved with the fixture and can be analyzed and evaluated using follow-up programs.
  4. Set the label's text parameters before you specify the drop-in point. The settings you make are valid until you place the next fixture.
  5. Enter the angle of rotation at the keyboard.
  6. Define the label’s drop-in point.

Note: You can use the Replace Fixtures tool to replace user-defined fixtures you have already placed with other user-defined fixtures, Allplan fixtures or manufacturer-specific fixtures.
