Placing fixtures

The manner in which you define the exact position of a fixture depends on where you place it: in an architectural slab or wall, in views or sections or in a 3D object.
To place a fixture
- The procedure for defining the drop-in point varies depending on the component type:
- In the case of architectural slabs or walls, specify the drop-in point by entering coordinates in plan and enter the depth values of the fixture within the component.
Notes: When placing 3D fixtures, you can also define the drop-in point in an isometric view.
For walls, you can enter an offset to any reference point.
If the drop-in point of the fixture is not within the architectural component, the system does not prompt for the depth values. - In the case of views and sections or when you are working in the window of the Edit Element tool, define the drop-in point by entering coordinates within a view of the component and click an additional point in a reference view to define the missing coordinates.
- You can define the drop-in point by entering coordinates in an isometric view for all the other 3D objects.
