Module(s): Process Planning
The NC generator is a pallet-oriented interface between CAD system and process control computer or machine. The current pallet loading is exported and - based on the driver used - the data of all the panels included s translated into a format which can be processed by the process control computer or the machine.
The configuration of the NC generator plays a central role. You cannot enable and/or disable most switches as you want. Rather, the settings depend on the machine used.
Due to the settings made in the NC generator configuration (e.g. filter parameters, production parameters, data creation parameters, ...), there may be conflicts between the fixtures, reinforcement, .... created automatically when designing or modifying or entered or modified manually and the bars, girders, fixtures, .... saved in the production files by the NC generator. This means that, various bars, girders, fixtures, .... might not be transferred to production.
The factory configurations and catalogs must always be consistent with the NC generator configurations. This should be checked and adjusted by experienced users only!
Create data
Normally you only need to press F1 Start and the data is created. All you have to ensure if you use floppy disks is that you have inserted a formatted disk.
Notes:
F4 SpecialP
Selecting this function takes you to another menu you can use to determine panels for special production.
F5 UniAttr
Selecting this function takes you to another menu you can use to define the edge attributes of the panels.
F8 Driver
Select a driver (depending on the software used by the process control computer or the machine). Normally this only needs to be done once.
S3 Config
Configuration of NC generator (not in the Configuration menu).
Note:
The configuration is saved separately for each driver type. Any changes you make only affect the current driver. They are never applied to the entire program.
S4 Break
If necessary, you can configure the program to pause between the pallets.
S9 Explorer
The program automatically opens Windows Explorer and changes to the folder selected for the production data path in the configuration. In Windows Explorer, click Close on the File menu to get back into the program.
