Skylight SmartPart, Elements

Tool(s): Skylight SmartPart

Using the Elements tab, you can select and define the parameters for the components of the Skylight SmartPart.

Note: When you slowly move the cursor horizontally across the parameters, it changes to a double-headed arrow as soon as you reach the area between the parameter names and the boxes. Now you can change the width of this area.

Frame

Width / Depth: enter the width (1) and depth (2) of the frame.

Bottom light: when you select this option, the skylight gets a bottom light with fixed glazing.

Height of casement: if Bottom light is active, you can define the height here.

Casement

Opening type: choose between Horiz. pivot hung and Top hung.

Opened by %: you can specify the opening angle (min. 0°, max. 180°) of the casement.

Width (3) / Width top / Depth (4): enter the dimensions of the casement frame.

Glass thickness (5): enter the thickness of the glass pane.

Fittings

Top: you can attach a hd_tp9 Grip to the top of the casement frame. Click to switch it off.

Bottom: if you selected the Top hung opening type in the Casement area, you can attach a hd_tp8 Window handle to the bottom of the casement frame. Click to switch it off.

Cover

Width (6) / Thickness (7) / Thickness top: enter the dimensions (see illustration) for the cover.

Covering frame

Width side (8) / Width at bottom (9) / Thickness (10): enter the dimensions (see illustration) for the covering frame.

Note: When you place or select a SmartPart, an arrow appears in the middle of the SmartPart, indicating the outside of the SmartPart. You can set the size and color of this symbol using the Size of CursorTips for snap points and Color of CursorTips options you can find in the Options (Default toolbar), Point snap page, Point snap representation area.
