You can define how the SmartParts look in 2D.
2D representation tab
Format
Layer: you can select the layer on which you want to place the SmartPart in 2D. The default setting is AR_WSILL for window sills; AR_SHAD for roller shutters, sliding shutters, folding shutters and blinds; AR_SKY for skylights.
Format from Layer: when you select this option, the settings for pen, line type and color are taken from the selected layer.
Pen / Line type / Color: when Format from Layer is not selected, you can choose the pen, line type and color.
Opening symbol (folding shutters and skylights only)
Representation (folding shutters only): select a type. Click to switch off the opening symbol.
Layer: after having chosen a display type, you can select the layer on which you want to place the SmartPart in 2D. The AR_SWING layer is set by default.
Format from Layer: when you select this option, the settings for pen, line type and color are taken from the selected layer.
Pen / Line type / Color: when Format from Layer is not selected, you can choose the pen, line type and color.

Skylights
You can define the scale ranges of three predefined 2D views for shading SmartParts or of two predefined 2D views for SmartParts for window sills and skylights. You can associate specific scale ranges with specific views. To exclude a view, clear the relevant check box.
Note: The ToolTip of the SmartPart always shows the layer you selected on the Format toolbar when you created the SmartPart. This layer includes the instance of the SmartPart. But the elements that make up the SmartPart are on the layers you assigned to them in 2D and 3D.
