You can define how the SmartParts look in 3D. The parameters on the 3D representation tab change with the SmartPart you have selected.

Format

Layer: you can select the layer on which you want to place the SmartPart in 3D. The AR_WSILL layer is set by default.

Format from Layer: when you select this option, the settings for pen, line type and color are taken from the selected layer.

Pen / Line type / Color: when Format from Layer is not selected, you can choose the pen, line type and color.

Surface: click the button to select a surface file for 3D (SURF file format, Allplan surface file). Click to switch off surfaces.

Format

Layer: select the layer on which you want to place the SmartPart in 3D. The default setting is AR_SHAD for roller shutters, sliding shutters, folding shutters and blinds; AR_SKY for skylights.

Format from Layer: when you select this option, the settings for pen, line type and color are taken from the selected layer.

Pen / Line type: when Format from Layer is not selected, you can choose the pen and line type.

Opening symbol (skylights only)

Show: when you select this option, you can see an opening symbol for the skylight SmartPart in 3D. You can select the Line type for this symbol.

Colors

If you have not selected Format from layer, you can choose the colors for the elements of the SmartPart.

Surface elements (roller shutters only)

By selecting one of the check boxes, you can assign a Hatching style, a Pattern, a Fill or a Style area to the surfaces in 3D.

Surfaces

You can select surface files (SURF format) for displaying the elements of the SmartPart in 3D. Click to switch off surfaces.

Note: The ToolTip of the SmartPart always shows the layer you selected on the Format toolbar when you created the SmartPart. This layer includes the instance of the SmartPart. But the elements that make up the SmartPart are on the layers you assigned to them in 2D and 3D.
