Modifying parameters, basic reinforcement

Precast Slab module

Owing to the wide range of parameters available for the factory configurations, catalogs and the parameters currently set by the user during the process of element design or modification and the current geometry of the element (outline or recesses), it can happen that bars or lattice girders of the basic reinforcement are not created and, consequently, individual parts of the element (e.g. corners with acute angles, narrow webs between recesses or between recesses and the edges) are not reinforced. The program does not check that all the bars and lattice girders are actually created.

That is why you need to spend some time thinking about how to handle non-rectangular element outlines and recesses. These considerations can be described as "engineering thinking". This is exactly the reason why working with the Precast modules requires some experience. In particular, you should not create production data without checking the reinforcement beforehand.

To change the parameters or basic reinforcement of individual slab panels

1. Click Modify Parameters, Basic Reinforcement (How).
   

   Activate Modify Parameters, Basic Reinforcement in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Precast Factories Precast Floor

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Precast Floor

2. Click the desired slab panel in the workspace.

   Note: To open the Modify Parameters, Basic Reinforcement Context toolbar, you can also double-click a slab panel with the left mouse button or open the shortcut menu of a slab panel and select Properties.

3. Click Match Properties and then a different slab panel of the same type to copy its element parameters.
4. Click Delete Selected Elements to delete the selected slab panel.
5. When you click the button, the program provides various parameters you can modify.
6. To modify the reinforcement parameters, click Basic Reinforcement Parameters.
7. Depending on the type of the selected slab panel, you can make more modifications:
   • Click Change Formwork Attributes to open the Formwork Attributes for Panel Edges dialog box.
   • Click Change Profiling to open the Connecting joint section parameters dialog box.
     When modifying a hollow core element, you can only modify the connecting joint section. You cannot shorten the section.
   • Click Modify Lifting Bolt Parameters to open the Mounting hooks, lifting bolts dialog box.
   • Click Change Parameters for Filling Objects to open the Filling Objects, Spreader Ribs dialog box.
   • Click Modify TT Slab Parameters to open the TT Slab dialog box, where you can change the topping slab overlaps defined for fitted panels in the panel type catalog. The overlap values are mutually dependent. In other words, as soon as you change one value, the other value updates accordingly.
8. Confirm your entries by clicking OK, modifying the selected slab panel.
9. Click the next slab panel you want to modify or quit the tool by clicking Cancel.
