Modify Design

Precast Slab module

Owing to the wide range of parameters available for the factory configurations, catalogs and the parameters currently set by the user during the process of element design or modification and the current geometry of the element (outline or recesses), it can happen that bars or lattice girders of the basic reinforcement are not created and, consequently, individual parts of the element (e.g. corners with acute angles, narrow webs between recesses or between recesses and the edges) are not reinforced. The program does not check that all the bars and lattice girders are actually created.

That is why you need to spend some time thinking about how to handle non-rectangular element outlines and recesses. These considerations can be described as "engineering thinking". This is exactly the reason why working with the Precast modules requires some experience. In particular, you should not create production data without checking the reinforcement beforehand.

To modify a roof/slab span

  1. Click Modify Design (How).
  2. Click the placing region you want to modify, displaying it in the selection color.

Note: To open the Design Placing Region Context toolbar, you can also double-click a support line with the left mouse button or open the shortcut menu of a support line and select Properties.

  3. Click Properties to enter the basic parameters for designing and reinforcing the slab/roof panels. You cannot change all parameters.
  4. Click the button to see more parameters for modification.
  5. Select the required division parameters e.g., direction of span, half or standard panels, set points for element design etc. on the context toolbar.
  6. Click OK to confirm your entries, modifying the current placing region.

To modify support conditions

  1. Click Modify Design (How).
  2. Click a placing region,
  3. displaying it in the selection color. Click the support edge you require. Now you can modify all support conditions.

Note:
Using the Modify Parameters, Basic Reinforcement (How) tool, you can change the individual panels within a placing region. If you then select the Modify Design tool, you can apply the placing region parameters to all the panels. Any changes you have made using the tool will be lost. The program displays a message and you can decide what to do.
