Editing bitmaps

The Edit Bitmap tool includes a number of other tools you can use to display bitmaps, to convert bitmaps to other formats or to print and edit bitmaps.

To edit bitmaps

1. Click Edit Bitmap (How).
   

   Activate Edit Bitmap in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Presentation Animation

   • Toolbar: Change
   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Animation

   The Edit Bitmap dialog box opens.

2. Open the File menu, click Open and select the bitmap you want to edit.
   • File Details provides information on the file size, size in pixels and resolution of the selected bitmap file.
   • When Preview is active, you can see a preview of the bitmap.
3. Click Open.

   The Edit Bitmap dialog box displays the selected bitmap file.

4. You can now edit the bitmap, convert it to other data formats or print it out. Use the tools on the menus:
   • File menu
   • Edit menu
   • View menu
   • Color menu
   • Bitmap menu
   • Effects menu
5. Save the modified bitmap. You can also use Save as ... or Save as (advanced) ... to save the bitmap under a different name.
6. To quit the tool, click Exit on the File menu or press ESC.
