Simulates the effect of a poster by reducing the number of colors in images down to a user-definable number of colors per color level. For example, entering two colors means two colors of red, green and blue each.
You can enter any value between 2 and 64.
Simulates the effect of a mosaic by dividing the open bitmap up into tiles of any size and by changing the colors of all the pixels to a mean value of the color within the tile.
Changes the color of each pixel in the open bitmap to an average value of the pixels which are in close proximity to the pixel in question. The image becomes blurred.
Changes the color of each pixel in the open bitmap to an average value of the pixels which are in close proximity to the pixel in question. This effect is similar to the Average... function.
Increases or reduces the bitmap's quality of being sharp and clear.
You can enter any value between -1,000 and +1,000.
The lower the value, the more out of focus the bitmap will be. The minimum value is -1,000; the maximum value is +1,000.
Adds noises to the open bitmap.
Values are entered as a percentage. You can enter any value between 0 and 1000.
Embosses the open bitmap. You can control the depth of the effect by entering a value or using a slide bar. The direction of the sun on the embossed image is user-definable.
You can increase the contrast of the open bitmap.
Unlike the contrast effect, this function retains the different intensity values.
A spatial filter calculates the brightness of each pixel in the open bitmap.
This effect uses what is known as "line segment" recognition. You can use this filter to find gaps in the lines of an image. All the pixels that are not detected are displayed in black.
