You can use Assign Custom Surfaces to 3D, Archit. Elements to assign custom surfaces to 3D surfaces, 3D objects and architectural elements. You can simply drag the surface to the object in question. The custom surface is displayed in viewports with the Animation view type and in rendered images.

To assign custom surfaces to 3D elements and architectural components

Click a 3D element or an architectural element with the right mouse button. On the shortcut menu, select Assign Custom Surfaces to 3D, Archit. Elements (How).
The Surfaces palette opens.
Note: If you select Assign Custom Surfaces to 3D, Architectural Elements on the shortcut menu of an element, you can use
to match the custom surface from other elements. You can also switch it off by clicking
.
Note: If you want to create a new surface, click New surface, define a new surface and save it as a surface file (SURF format, Allplan surface file). You can then select the new surface in the Surfaces palette.
If you selected the tool on the shortcut menu of an 3D element or an architectural element, click OK.
Note: Using , you can change existing surfaces. You can then save the modified surface as a new surface file (SURF format) using
.
Tip: Using the Properties palette, you can adjust textures applied to 3D solids.
