Module(s): 3D Modeling
You can use the Rotate 3D Entities tool to rotate 3D entities in two directions freely in space without entering any angles. First, you define a fixed point about which you want to rotate the solid. Then, you select a base point and a direction point for each direction. These points can be on the 3D element you want to rotate or on any other 3D element. If there aren't any base points or direction points you can use, create some auxiliary solids or auxiliary surfaces and delete them after the rotation. If you want to turn the 3D element in one direction only, click the same point twice when the program prompts you to select the second direction of rotation.
What do you want to do?
Rotate a 3D element about a fixed point in one direction
Rotate a 3D element about a fixed point in two directions
Rotate a 3D element about a fixed point in two directions (a plane serves as the second direction)
