The properties of the tendons selected in the navigation tree (multiple selection is possible) can be defined or edited in the Properties window.
Depending on the selected type of the tendon (post-tensioned or pretensioned) the input mask changes respectively. In the following, first the inputs of post-tensioned tendons are described. After that, the inputs of pretensioned tendons are described, whereby analogous inputs refer to the already existing descriptions of the post-tensioned tendons.
1. Post-tensioning
Tendons
Name [informative]
Name of the tendon (can only be changed via the navigation tree)
Type
Select to determine the type of the tendon (post-tensioned or pretensioned)
Depending on the selection, the input mask changes
Description
Informative user-defined text
Tendon number
Number of the tendon in the structural analysis
Optionally, you can apply the numbering manually, if the option Auto-numbering within the calculation settings is deactivate, otherwise this is performed automatically.
Straight at Begin / End
Automatically consider a straight section of the tendon at the begin/end
At this, the geometry, beginning at the first/last defined point of the tendon, runs straight along the local tangent over the defined length and from this point (with the direction of the tangent as boundary condition) further to the next/previous tendon point (considering the tangent in this point).
Number of tendon points [informative]
Number of the tendon points defined in the table
Tendon length [informative]
Total length of the tendon measured along the defined geometry in space
Specification
Material
Input or rather select a material for the tendon defined in the menu Analysis/Materials
Duct diameter
Input the diameter of the duct to be considered for the structural analysis for calculating the net concrete cross section area and the grouted duct area
Note: The difference between outer and inner diameter of the duct and thus the thickness of the duct itself are not considered here.
Duct material
Select the material of the duct to be considered within the design code checks
Number of strands
Input the number of the strands of the tendon
Strand area
Input the area of one strand
Total steel area [informative]
Informatively displays the total area of the tendon (=number of strands x strand area)
Losses of prestressing
Deviation definition
Select the wished definition type for inputting the unintentional deviation
Depending on the selection, the respective input fields become active/inactive.
Unintentional deviation Definition according to Eurocode by means of the factor k
Wobble Definition according to AASHTO LRFD by means of the wobble factor k
Friction m
Friction coefficient m between tendon and duct
Unintentional deviation kEC
Value k for the unintentional deviation angle
Wobble factor kWobble
Value for the wobble factor k
Note: The input of this value requires the previous input of the friction coefficient m since internally always the unintentional deviation kEC is processed which is evaluated from these two inputs.
Placement
Anchor block at the begin/end
Input the name of a Placement (PythonPart or Smart Part) which represents the anchor block of the tendon and which is added at its begin and/or end when exporting to ALLPLAN.
Rmin
Informatively displays the value of the smallest evaluated radius of the tendon and its position (measured length along the tendon geometry)
2. Pretensioning

Specification
Material

Number of strands [informative]
Always one
Strand area
Input the area of one strand
Total steel area [informative]
Informatively displays the total area of the tendon (=strand area)
Placement
See above
Hooks
Define a hook at the begin and/or end of the defined strand
This is only considered within the structural analysis and not displayed geometrically.
Hook position
Select the position of the hook via the respective checkboxes begin and/or end.
L1
Length of the horizontally running part of the hook following the strand
L2
Length of the vertically running part of the hook following L1
Anchorage length multiplier (EC) / Development length multiplier (AASHTO LRFD)
Multiplier according to the respective design code to be considered in the structural analysis
Debonded length
Begin/End
Define a debonded length at the begin and end of the tendon in whose area there is no bond between strand and concrete and no force is transferred
Transmission length (EC) / Transfer length (AASHTO LRFD)
Length
Length at the begin and end of the tendon over whose area the force in the tendon linearly increases from zero to the full defined size
