DTM (Digital Terrain Model)

Import a digital terrain model directly in ALLPLAN Civil or from Bimplus

To successfully import a digital terrain model in ALLPLAN Civil, it should fulfill the following requirements:

- The triangles of the surface mesh should not lie on top of each other and not overlap.

- The model should be based on a right-hand coordinate system, i.e., related to the coordinate system in ALLPLAN Civil: X=East, Y=Height (Altitude), Z=-North.

- ALLPLAN Civil supports the following data formats

• Collada 1.4.1 (*.dae)
• glTF (*.gltf, *.glb)
• Wavefront Object (*.obj)

Note: It is not possible to create or edit a terrain model in ALLPLAN Civil - however, such functionalities exist in ALLPLAN and in ALLPLAN Road.

Note: If a terrain model exists in ALLPLAN Civil, then the profile of an axis can directly be derived from it based on the definition of the axis in plan (see Axes).
