Import directly in ALLPLAN Civil

To import a terrain model directly in ALLPLAN Civil

1. Use the context menu of the main menu DTM (right mouse button) to create a new terrain model.
2. Use the context menu of the created terrain model to add a new surface.

   Note: A terrain model can consist of several surfaces.

3. In the opening input window, perform the following definitions.

General

Name

Name of the surface

Terrain

Name of the corresponding terrain model [informatively]

File

Name

Select the file name of the surface (see here for supported formats)

Scaling

Define the wished factor for the scaling of the model

Move by

East

Offset for the positioning in east-direction

North

Offset for the positioning in north-direction

Geometry

Check (button)

Informative display of the geometric data such as the number of the Points and Triangles, Size of the model in each direction (DEast, DNorth, DAltitude) and Position of the model (East and North with and without the offset values).

Note: This data can be helpful for defining the scaling factor and, if applicable, the offset values.

Confirm the input with OK to import the surface into the project.
