Create a structural member of the type “prism” on the basis of a respective existing template (see Template / Prism)
You can create an arbitrary number of prisms from one particular prism template at different positions which are all linked to the same template.
To create a new prism from a template
Note: You can also directly drag & drop the wished prism template from the project navigation tree into the view window.
A new prism is created in the menu Bodies in the project navigation tree.
The prism is now also displayed at the cursor position in the view window of the 3D model.
Note: Select the wished type of definition (Reference point / Docking point / Relative distance / Absolute height) in the Property window - for explanations about this see Prism.
In case of the types of definition Relative distance and Absolute height, analogously proceed as described e.g. in Pier relative to axis in the steps 3 - 5.
Note: Select the wished type of definition (Reference point / Docking point / Relative distance / Absolute height / From template) in the Property window - for explanations about this see Prism.
In case of the types of definition Relative distance and Absolute height, analogously proceed as described e.g. in Pier relative to axis in the steps 3 - 5.
In case of the definition type From template, the length of the prism is taken over from the template and applied relative to the Geometric Position 1 along the direction to be selected in the Property window (for explanations about this see Prism.
Thereby, analogously proceed as described in Link girder from template in step 6.
After creating the prism, there are available numerous tools for editing and modifying via its context menu (marking in the 3D View window).
Use the Property window to edit all performed inputs. Additionally, you can adjust the position/orientation of the prism there (see Prism).
