Define a reference point for placing an object of the type smart symbol (*.nmk) or PythonPart (*.pyp)
See also general explanations on placements.
Placements always consist of a origin point, which determines the position of the object. I.e. the object is attached to this point with the origin of its coordinate system.
Optionally, you can add a direction point to a placement to handle the orientation of the object.
For respective details see Define the properties of the smart symbol / PythonPart placement.
To define a smart symbol or PythonPart placement
An input window for the general definitions of the placement opens.
The program directly switches to the interactive definition of the placement.
Note: You can also directly determine the position by clicking on an empty place, where automatically a parametric point will be created, on which the origin point is based.
Select an intersection point of two parametric lines or a parametric point to position a direction point for the placement.
Note: You can also directly determine the position by clicking on an empty place, where automatically a parametric point will be created, on which the origin point is based.
Note: If you have selected direction point in step 3, which you now don’t want to create, press ENTER or repeat the last click on the origin point to finish the input.
The interactive input is now completed. You can now directly or at any later time edit the properties of the smart symbol or PythonPart placement in the Property window.
Note: You can also add a direction point with the function direction point later.
