Create a direction point

Add a direction point to a smart symbol or PythonPart placement, for which no direction point has been defined yet.

Use a direction point to align an object, which has been positioned by a Placement.

To add a direction point to a smart symbol or PythonPart placement

1. Click Direction point.
2. Select the smart symbol or PythonPart placement, to which you want to add a direction point.

   Note: The selected placement must not yet contain a direction point.

3. Select an intersection point of two parametric lines or a parametric point to determine the direction point for the placement.

   Note: You can also directly determine the position by clicking on an empty place, where automatically a parametric point will be created, on which the direction point is based.
