Use

List Default Planes

You can define the height of architectural elements by entering values for the top and bottom levels relative to an imaginary pair of reference planes. This tool defines the position of these default reference planes.

Custom Planes

You can use this tool to create custom reference planes.

3D to Planes

You can use this tool to convert 3D elements to custom reference planes.

Roof Frame

You can use this tool to create custom planes that define a roof frame.

Insert offset plane

This tool is in the Planes palette. You can use this tool to insert an offset plane in a plane model. The offset plane is linked with a default plane at an offset you define.

Insert or replace reference surface

This tool is in the Planes palette. You can use this tool to insert a local reference surface in a plane model. You can create local reference surfaces from any polygonal or freeform 3D surfaces. To do this, you can use the 3D surface to reference surface tool (shortcut menu of 3D surfaces).

Roof Surface

You can use this tool to create a roof surface by entering any outline.

Dormer

You can use this tool to create custom reference planes that define a dormer in a roof frame.

Note: Use Floor Manager if you work with the building structure.
