Secondary Bars

Tool(s): Additional Reinforcement

To place additional bar reinforcement as area reinforcement

1. Click Additional Reinforcement (How).
   The Edit Element and Element Plan Context toolbars also include this tool.
   

   Activate Additional Reinforcement in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Precast Factories Precast Floor

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Precast Floor

2. On the Additional Reinforcement Context toolbar, click Secondary Bars.
3. Specify the presets for the placement of the secondary bars by switching the appropriate buttons.
4. Click OK to confirm the settings.
5. In the Input options, select the type for defining the secondary bars. Three options are provided:
   • Use bar to match the diameter, number, length and spacing of an existing bar. Anchorage lengths and bending shapes are not used when a Up to edge function is enabled in the presets.
   • Edge to use the length and direction of a shell edge for the generation of the bars. The edge length is proposed as the length.
   • FromTo to define custom additional bars by setting a start and end point.
6. Define the location of the secondary bars and the placing direction.
7. Enter settings for the general placing parameters.
8. Click OK to confirm the settings.
9. If you selected the Automatic Labeling On preset, then the program automatically gives the placement a label.
