Changing hollow blocks/concrete strips/filling objects/bricks
Precast Slab module
You can use this tool to create concrete strips as well as modify hollow blocks, balls (BubbleDeck), filling objects or bricks (provided you have the appropriate license).
- You can use the Concrete option to create manual concrete strips, cross ribs and filling objects that are retained when you update the associated design.
When linking the design to an architectural slab, you can define a concrete strip prior to design. When designing, the program does not create any balls, hollow blocks or filling objects in the area with the concrete strip. - You can use the Hollow block and Filling object options to hide individual hollow blocks or balls, producing a concrete strip in these areas. Hollow blocks or balls can be displayed again by clicking.
- You can use the Filling object and Brick options to edit individual filling objects and bricks.
To create manual concrete strips, cross ribs and filling objects
- Click
Change Hollow Blocks/Concrete Strips/Filling Objects/Bricks (How). - Select the Concrete option in the input options.
- In the Placing Parameters dialog box, select a surface fixture for the Preferred type. For brick slabs, you can select a brick defined in the brick/tile catalog.
- Click OK to confirm the settings and, if necessary, define prompts for the fixture.
- Enter the outline of the concrete strip using the polyline entry tools. Make sure that you enter a closed placing polygon. Use the additional input options provided for precast elements.
Note: The concrete strip is displayed in the same way as the selected surface fixture. This means that you can freely define the line type, line width and line color. In addition, you can apply a hatching style, pattern or fill to the area of the polyline.

or
Double-click with the right mouse button in the workspace to select all the hollow blocks or balls in the active drawing files. The selected hollow blocks or balls are converted to construction lines. This produces a concrete strip in these areas.
When you select the hollow blocks or balls again, they are converted back to normal design entities.
Note: If some hollow blocks or balls were converted to construction lines beforehand and you then select all the hollow blocks or balls, the hidden ones are displayed again and vice versa.
