Allplan Exchange dialog box

The Export dialog box (How) provides an overview of the layouts and files currently selected for distribution and the associated contacts. In addition, you can start exporting the layouts and files, which is equivalent to setting up the actual packages, and finally send or upload these packages.

Activate the Export dialog box in one of the following ways

• The Layout module is open.
• Allplan Exchange dialog box (How) is open.

Table

Name

Layout number and name (bold) or export files in the data formats selected.

You can use File preview to display a preview of the contents of an export file in an application associated with the data format. You can Show and Hide the data formats selected for a layout and the contacts selected for the relevant data format.

File size

Shows the size of the export file.

Time stamp

Shows the date and time the export file was created.

Temporary file

Lists the temporary files created for distribution.

If an export file set up for distribution is obsolete because the original has changed, you need to update the package. To do this, use Delete temporary file to delete the export file you have already set up for distribution and export the file again.

Options

Send immediately after export

Specifies when the package is sent:

• When this check box is selected, the program sends the package or starts uploading the data to Allplan Connect immediately after setup.
• When this check box is not selected, the program displays an overview of all the files intended for distribution after having set up the package. You can then send the package immediately afterwards or do this anytime.

Exclusive (project is locked during export)

Temporarily overrides the Settings for Workgroup you have specified on the File storage and export tab in the Settings dialog box. This only applies to the current export operation.

The project is locked and cannot be edited in Allplan while the packages are set up.

Buttons

Start or Stop or Send

The name of this button varies depending on the current situation:

• Start:
  Starts creating the required export files, which is equivalent to setting up the actual packages.
• Stop:
  You can interrupt this process at any time.
• Send:
  All the export files required for the current package have been created. Now you can send the packages or start uploading the data.

Close

Closes the dialog box without carrying out any other operation.
