Allplan Exchange dialog box

Using the settings in the File storage and export category of the Settings dialog box (How), you can specify the folders and file structure for local storage of the layouts and files you export. In addition, you can link the Allplan project with the Allplan Exchange project.

Activate the Settings dialog box in one of the following ways:

• The Layout module is open.
• Allplan Exchange dialog box (How) is open.

Local export settings

Path for local file storage

You can specify the folder where the layouts and files are stored locally. This folder can be on your computer or on the local (office) network.

Create a subfolder with time stamp for each export

You can control the folder structure that is subordinate to the folder for the local file storage:

• When this check box is selected, the program creates a separate subfolder with the date and time for each export process in the folder for the local file storage.
• When this check box is not selected, the data exported is stored directly in the folder for the local file storage.

Save files in accordance with settings for contacts

When you have logged in to Allplan Exchange, you can use this option to specify the scope of the local file storage:

• Save files in accordance with settings for local file storage:
  This option saves the layouts and files intended for Local file storage. The settings for the layout filter and those for the data formats are taken into account.
  
  You can define further settings for the file structure that is subordinate to the folder for the local file storage:
  • Save files in accordance with layout structure:
    Additional subfolders are created for the files to be saved. The hierarchy and names of these subfolders are derived from the layout structure of the current project.
  • Save files in accordance with format:
    Additional subfolders are created for the files to be saved. The names of these subfolders are derived from the layout formats selected.
  • Do not use subfolders:
    Depending on the setting for Local file storage, the files are saved in the folder for the local file storage or in a subfolder with the date and time.
• Save files in accordance with settings for contacts:
  This option saves the layouts and files of all contacts in exactly the same way as specified for each contact. The contact list is used for the file structure. Depending on the setting for Local file storage, the contact list is saved in the folder for the local file storage or in a subfolder with the date and time (see the Create a subfolder with time stamp for each export option).

Allplan Exchange Web

Provided you have logged in to Allplan Exchange straight from your Allplan workstation.:

Organization

Displays the Allplan Exchange Organization you belong to. You were assigned to an Allplan Exchange Organization when you registered for Allplan Exchange.

Assignment to Allplan Exchange web project

Click the button to link the current Allplan project with an Allplan Exchange web project or to change the existing link.

Free space

Displays the amount of free space available to your organization on the Allplan Exchange Web web platform.

Release settings

Provided you have logged in to Allplan Exchange straight from your Allplan workstation.:

Release Allplan Exchange when sending

Controls the upload mode.

• When this option is selected, the current status of the upload process is displayed in the Allplan Exchange Upload dialog box, that is, you can resume your work in the Allplan Exchange dialog box and thus in Allplan immediately after you have sent the data.
  
  The Allplan Exchange Upload dialog box closes automatically as soon as the upload process is completed.
• When this check box is not selected, the current status of the upload is displayed directly in the Allplan Exchange dialog box. This means that you cannot work in Allplan in the Allplan Exchange dialog box until the upload is completed.

Settings for Workgroup

Provided you have logged in to Allplan Exchange straight from your Allplan workstation. and working in a workgroup environment:

Shared (project is not locked during export)

The project is not locked while the packages are set up. This means that it can still be edited in Allplan.

ATTENTION!
There is the danger that any changes during setup are not included in the files that are prepared for distribution!

Exclusive (project is locked during export)

The project is locked and cannot be edited in Allplan while the packages are set up.

Toolbar

Load favorite

Retrieves the settings you have saved in a favorite file.

Save favorite

Saves the current settings in a favorite file.

Reset settings

Resets all the settings back to their defaults.

Buttons

OK

Carries out the current operation or confirms all changes. The current entries and/or settings are applied and saved.

Cancel

Cancels the current operation and discards all entries and/or changes.
