Defining the default setting for data formats to be used for new contacts

To define the default for data formats

• Allplan Exchange dialog box (How) is open.
  

  Activate the Allplan Exchange dialog box in one of the following ways

  • The Layout module is open.

  • Menu bar: Create Layout Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution

  • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution
  • Palette: Tools Basic family Create area Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution
• You have logged in to Allplan Exchange using the Allplan workstation.

1. In the border of the Allplan Exchange dialog box, click Settings at bottom left.

   The Settings dialog box appears.

2. Select the Format settings tab.
3. Select the appropriate check boxes to specify the data formats that are to be assigned to each contact when added to the distribution list.
4. You can load one of the exchange favorites defined in Allplan, which are available for some data formats (PDF, DGN, DWG, DXF).

   To do this, click <no exchange favorite> or the name of the favorite already set and select the exchange favorite you want to use in the Open dialog box.

   Tip: To remove an exchange favorite set, click Remove exchange favorite.

5. You can set additional options for some data formats:
   • NID: with / without resources
   • DGN, DWG, DXF: select the version in the list box.
   • BITMAP: resolution, color depth, subtype and Q factor
6. Click OK to close the Settings dialog box.
