Allplan Exchange dialog box

The Format settings category is only available in the Settings dialog box (How) when you have logged in to Allplan Exchange straight from your Allplan workstation.

You can specify the default data formats that are to be used for a new contact you add to the contact list. Afterwards, you can customize this default setting for each contact (see "Specifying data formats for contacts").

In conjunction with some data formats, you can select one of the exchange favorites defined in Allplan. To remove an exchange favorite set, just click Remove exchange favorite.

Data format

You can specify the data formats to be used to output Allplan layouts (you can select several formats):

PDF

The selected layouts are output in Adobe PDF format. You can also select one of the exchange favorites defined in Allplan.

Layout

The selected layouts including the associated resources (e.g., line types, hatching, patterns and so on) are output in Allplan format. The data are zipped automatically (as with regular project backups).

NID

The selected layouts are output in NID format (Internet Document). You can specify whether you want to include the associated resources (e.g., line types, hatching, patterns and so on).

DGN

The selected layouts are output in DGN format. You can choose between versions V7 and V8. In addition, you can select one of the exchange favorites defined in Allplan.

DWG

The selected layouts are output in DWG format. You can choose between versions V12, V2000, V2004, V2007 and V2010. In addition, you can select one of the exchange favorites defined in Allplan.

DXF

The selected layouts are output in DXF format. You can choose between versions V12, V2000, V2004, V2007 and V2010. In addition, you can select one of the exchange favorites defined in Allplan.

BITMAP

You can select the data format (JPG, PNG, BMP, EPS and so on) and the resolution (dpi = dots per inch). Depending on the data format selected, you can or must define further settings (for example, the color depth using bits per pixel).

Toolbar

Load favorite

Retrieves the settings you have saved in a favorite file.

Save favorite

Saves the current settings in a favorite file.

Reset settings

Resets all the settings back to their defaults.

Buttons

OK

Carries out the current operation or confirms all changes. The current entries and/or settings are applied and saved.

Cancel

Cancels the current operation and discards all entries and/or changes.
