Attributes

Mark number

Enter the item number of the SmartPart You can enter a six-digit integer for the number.

Factor

You can define the number of superimposed SmartPart layers by entering a factor. Although only one instance of the SmartPart is visible in plan at any one time, the actual number is managed internally.

Relative height

When you select this check box, you can associate the height of the SmartPart's bottom level with a plane.

Link

You can specify whether the SmartPart is to be associated with the room in which it has been placed. This is important for subsequent analyses and output using lists.

Consider

When modifying SmartParts, you can specify how a SmartPart placed in a room with finish specifications is displayed in animation and in sections.

You can choose from the following settings:

Format

You can define the format properties of the SmartPart and of its components:
When set to Element, every individual element of the SmartPart is drawn using the format properties defined in the SmartPart's script.
When set to Placement, all the elements of the SmartPart are drawn using the format properties assigned to its instance.

Note: If the format properties are defined as parameters in the script of the SmartPart, Format is set to Element and cannot be changed. The format properties can only be changed when the SmartPart is placed, in the script or later in the SmartPart dialog box, which you can open by double-clicking the SmartPart or selecting Properties on the SmartPart's shortcut menu. If the script does not contain format properties, Format is set to Placement. The format properties on the Format toolbar are used when you place the SmartPart. You can use Modify Format Properties to change them later.

Sequence

You can define the sequence in which the SmartPart and its components are displayed:
When set to Element, every individual element of the SmartPart is drawn based on the sequenced defined in the SmartPart's script.
When set to Placement, all the elements of the SmartPart are drawn based on the sequence assigned to its instance.

More attributes

You can define additional attributes for the SmartPart.
For example, the variables V6 to V9 are available by default.

When you click ..., you can assign and enter additional attributes as you would in the Object Manager.
