Frilo plate module, overview

Introduction

You can use the FE program for plates, which is based on graphics. to calculate and design reinforced concrete floors and slabs with beams. You can define complex support conditions and loads.
For calculations without design, you can also use any homogeneous or anisotropic material.

The implemented network generator is based on the ”advancing front method". This way, you can quickly and easily generate meshes of two-dimensional areas of any shape. You can create triangular and four sided meshes as well as combinations of these two types.

The program uses matrices based on hybrid formulations to calculate elements. The major advantage of hybrid elements is that they are very precise in conjunction with thin plates. Consequently, shear forces are also calculated accurately.
For 'thick' plates the analysis can also be based on Kirchhoff-Mindlin.

For reinforcement, the method developed by Baumann is used. A cracked plate element serves as the model.

Note: You can define uniaxial statical structures for precast slabs, prestressed hollow core elements etc.

The program automatically detects the system and the supports based on the architectural components. When you exit the program, Allplan generates the results and imports them to the drawing file specified.
	Export Frilo Plate Data	You can use this tool to save architectural components to an ASCII file. You can then import the geometric data of this file to the FE program for plates provided by FRILO Software GmbH, where you can use the data as the basis for calculations.
	Send Frilo Plate File to Email Recipient	You can use this tool to save architectural components to an ASCII file, which you send by email. You can then import the geometric data of this file to the FE program for plates provided by FRILO Software GmbH, where you can use the data as the basis for calculations.
	Export Allplan File for Frilo Plate	You can use this tool to export architectural components and design entities as a DXF file. You can then import the data of this file to the FE program for plates provided by FRILO Software GmbH, where you can use the data as a design aid. This way, you can edit structural changes in the FE program without losing anything.
	Start Frilo Plate	You can use this tool to start the FE program for plates provided by FRILO Software GmbH. When you exit the program, Allplan generates the results and imports them to the drawing file specified.
	Reinforcement Contours	You can use this tool to display reinforcement contours in the current drawing file. This requires a fully completed FEA calculation whose results can be accessed here.
