Sending Frilo plate file to email recipient

Module(s): Frilo Plate

You can use the Send Frilo Plate File to Email Recipient tool to save architectural components to an ASCII file, which you send by email. You can then import the geometric data of this file to the FE program for plates provided by FRILO Software GmbH, where you can use the data as the basis for calculations.

To save architectural components to an ASCII file, which you send by email

  1. Click Send Frilo Plate File to Email Recipient (How).
  2. Select the architectural components you want to transfer.
  3. Specify the path and file name.

Note: Allplan saves the geometric data only when you have selected an architectural slab. Please bear in mind that you cannot transfer several slabs that do not intersect.

  4. The email program opens automatically, attaching the ASCII file to the email. Enter a recipient and continue as usual.

To use the file attachment for further calculations

  1. Save the ASCII file attached to the email in any folder.
  2. Start the FE program for plates provided by FRILO Software GmbH and import the geometric data using File - Import - ASCII.

The program creates the system and the supports based on the architectural components.

  3. Complete the entries in the FE program and calculate the data there.
  4. Before you quit the FE program, export the results so that you can import them into Allplan using the Import FEA Files tool.

If you want, you can email the asf-format file, too.
