Frilo plate export-calculation-import

You can use the Frilo Plate Export-Calculation-Import tool to transfer architectural components to the FE program for plates provided by FRILO Software GmbH. The program starts automatically. The program automatically detects the system and the supports based on the architectural components.
When you exit the program, Allplan generates the results and imports them to the drawing file specified.

To transfer architectural components to the FE program for plates and start the program

• Save the drawing file under a meaningful name before you select this tool. The FE program will use this name when it saves the results.

1. Click Frilo Plate Export-Calculation-Import (How).
   

   Activate Frilo Plate Export-Calculation-Import in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Frilo Structural Analyses Frilo Plate

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Frilo Plate

2. Select the architectural components you want to transfer.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   For more information on the options available for selecting elements in Allplan, see Selecting elements, overview.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   The FE program for plates starts automatically and creates the system and the supports based on the architectural components.

   Note: The FE program for plates only starts when you have selected an architectural slab. Please bear in mind that you cannot transfer several slabs that do not intersect.
   If there are no architectural components, use the Start Frilo Plate tool.

3. Complete the entries in the FE program and calculate the data there.
4. Exit the FE program and click Save to establish a link between Allplan and the FE program for plates based on the mark.
   Using this link, you can retrieve existing data in the FE program the next time you transfer the architectural components.

   Note: If you save the calculation under a different name in the FE program for plates and still want to establish a link, you need to assign the same name to the document when you save it in Allplan.

5. Transfer the FEA results to Allplan by selecting the drawing file to which you want to import the results.

   This is only possible when you have quit the FE program by choosing the Save option, which saves the results with the name of the drawing file in the FE program for plates.
   

Note: If you want to save the results under a different name, export them before you quit the FE program so that you can import them into Allplan using the Import FEA Files tool.
