Modifying the placing geometry

Module(s): Bar Reinforcement + Mesh Reinforcement + BAMTEC

You can use the Modify Placing Geometry tool to modify the geometric outline of bar or mesh area reinforcement by inserting or deleting recesses or changing the support depth. You can subsequently modify all the placing parameters.
You cannot use this tool to modify MWS meshes.

To modify the geometric outline of bar or mesh area reinforcement

1. Click Modify Placing Geometry (How).
   

   Activate Modify Shell in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Engineering Bar Reinforcement/Mesh Reinforcement/BAMTEC

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Bar Reinforcement

   Mesh Reinforcement

   BAMTEC

   • Configuration: Engineering Engineering Modify flyout
2. Click the placement whose geometry you want to change.
3. Make your changes.
4. Click OK to confirm.
5. Depending on the reinforcement type, you can adjust the parameters of the bar placement or the parameters of the mesh placement.
6. Click OK to confirm. The placement is updated to reflect the changes.
