Geometric modification

Tool(s): Modify Shell

• Click Enter Opening to define openings within the previously defined polygon.
  

  1. Click the first point of the opening polygon within the outline polygon .
  2. Click the second point of the opening polygon within the outline polygon .
  3. Click additional points for the opening within the outline polygon.
  4. Close the polygon.

  With every side you enter you can change the support depth manually.

• Click Delete Opening to delete openings within a polygon.
  

  1. Select Delete Opening.
  2. Click the opening to be deleted.
• Click Support Depth to modify the projecting ends of the bars.
  

  1. Click the side of the outline polygon to be modified.
  2. Define the new support depth:
     • by entering the desired projection beyond the boundary manually (positive values = outwards) or
     • by clicking a reference point through which the side in question is to be moved
       

  Note: To modify all support depths of the entire outline polygon (including the outlines of openings) in a single step, select Support Depth, click twice in the workspace with the right mouse button when the prompt ”click side of polygon” appears and enter a new support depth.

If Reinforce with 3D model is active, then the following boxes are also provided:

• Click Layer Depth to define the distance between the placement and the principal spatial plane. You can enter the value manually or use the layer depth in a view that is orthogonal to the reference view. To adopt the layer depth, click the layer in the corresponding view.
• Click Component Thickness or one of the buttons / / to create the relationship for the opposite layer.
• Click Concrete Cover Top or one of the buttons / / to define the distance of the bar in relation to the upper edge of the component.
• Click Concrete Cover Bottom or one of the buttons / / to define the distance of the bar in relation to the lower edge of the component.
