Smart symbols, place instance of smart symbol

Place instance of smart symbol on current layer

When this option is active, the current layer is assigned to the smart symbol when you place it. When this option is not active, the smart symbol gets the DEFAULT layer.

Note: When applied to Update Smart Symbols Placed from Library, Replace Smart Symbol, SmartPart and Replace Plant Objects, this option defines whether the layer of the smart symbol's instance in the drawing file is retained or replaced with the default setting from the Smart symbols library.

If Place instance of smart symbol on current layer is selected, the layer assigned to the instance of the smart symbol is retained and it is only the geometry that is updated.
If Place instance of smart symbol on current layer is not selected, the layer assigned to the smart symbol in the library is used.
