Production data/NC generator

You can use Production Data/NC Generator to create production data (as an alternative to the NC generator of the external program). You can use the Driver catalog for NC generator to define drivers for this tool.

To create production data for precast elements or attached reinforcement

1. Click Production Data/NC Generator (How).
   

   Activate Production Data/NC Generator in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Precast Factories Production Planning

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Production Planning

2. Do the following depending on your selection in the input options:
   • When set to Precast, select the required precast elements.
     

     • To select a single element, click it.
     • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
     • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

     For more information on the options available for selecting elements in Allplan, see Selecting elements, overview.

     When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   • When set to MWS, select the meshes placed with the Use MWS mesh setting in the Mesh Reinforcement module in the Engineering family and the stirrup cages created using the Fixture from Article Catalog and MWS Reinforcement Group tools.

     The three-part NC Generator dialog box opens.

     

     The NC Generator dialog box has the following structure:

     • The selected precast elements are displayed in a tree structure in the area on the left.
     • The area at top right is empty at first. After starting the calculation, the data of the element selected in the tree structure is displayed graphically.
     • The contents of the area at bottom right vary depending on the selected tab.
       The Driver/order data tab provides information on the file name, path and driver set. In addition, it lists the contract data which is taken from Allplan (if you have assigned the relevant project attributes). You can modify entries by double-clicking the individual fields.
       The Output tab is empty at first. After starting the calculation, the UNITECHNIK data created for the element selected in the tree structure is displayed. The tab is then given the name of the UNITECHNIK file.
3. Select one of the drivers defined in the catalog in the list box above the tree structure.
4. Select the desired elements in the tree structure and click Start of Calculation to create UNITECHNIK data.
5. Click Open Production Files in Explorer to open the folder with the UNITECHNIK data in Windows Explorer.
6. Create more data or click to exit.
