Creating a building structure using the floor manager

If you use the floor manager to create a building structure, you can create the building structure and the objects derived from the building structure in one go. At the same time, you can assign height settings from the plane model to the structural levels.

To create a building structure using the floor manager

1. Open the Floor Manager (How) and click New model. The New model dialog box opens. Make settings for the floors.
   

   1. On the File menu, click Open on a Project-Specific Basis...
   2. For Workgroup Manager: click Edit building structure, plane mode to activate the building structure and to lock it for other users.
   3. Click Floor Manager.
2. Select the Create / extend building structure check box and click OK.
3. If the project already has a building structure, specify where you want to insert the new structure.
4. In the Create / extend building structure dialog box, specify which drawing file numbers you want to use for which floors. Then click OK twice.
