Element Selection

Shortcut menu in navigation mode

Using Element Selection, you select the design entities you want to display in the current viewport. The program temporarily hides all the other design entities.

As this tool is intended for checking elements, Navigation Mode is activated together with this tool.

To select the elements you want to display in the viewport

  1. Click Element Selection (How).

    Or

    If Navigation Mode is active, press the right mouse button to open the shortcut menu. Choose Element Selection.

  2. If you are working in navigation mode, switch to design mode.
  3. Select the elements you want to display.

    You can see the selected elements in the viewport. If Navigation Mode is not active, Allplan activates it now.

    Tip: You can use the Focal length parameter in 3D View (viewport toolbar) to control the aperture angle of the vision cone in the current viewport. The focal length is equivalent to the lens on a small camera. The default of 50 mm is equivalent to a normal lens.
