Modifying shape of recesses and openings in slabs (based on initial settings)

To modify recesses and openings in slabs

In addition to attributes and the height setup, you can modify the outlines of recesses and openings in slabs using the options available when you created the components. Alternatively, use Apply Archit. Component Properties (How).

Activate Apply Archit. Component Properties in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Modify Architecture Basic: Walls, Openings, Components
  Special: Walls, Openings, Components

• Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

Special: Walls, Openings, Components

• Configuration: Architecture Architectural Components flyout

Be sure to note the following:

• The new position of the modified opening is based on its center.
• When you have placed slab openings at an angle, this angle is retained when you modify the outline of the opening; however, if you want, you can set a different angle.
• Regular openings cannot be turned into free-form openings. But you can convert free-form openings to regular (i.e. circular or rectangular) openings.
• Openings with outlines saved as a symbol behave like rectangular or circular openings; you can modify their outlines at any time.
