Practical Guideline

In the following the necessary steps for modeling a bridge in ALLPLAN Civilare listed and indicated by referring to the respective chapters in the help. This comprises the issues as follows:

• Create a new ALLPLAN Civil project
• Create and define an axis in 3D by defining the bridge axis in plan and in profile.
• Draw and define the cross sections (girders, piers). Create variables and assign them to parametric lines.
• Consider variations of the cross section dimensions along the bridge axis by defining tables.
• Create structural members by assigning cross sections along an axis (girders and piers). Connect structural members with each other (piers to girder). Perform additional definitions such as stations and assigning tables to variables.
• Define structural supports (optionally for the analysis model).
• Import the ALLPLAN Civil project in ALLPLAN
