TRAVELER/INSTSEG

Index

After calling up and defining the task group CANTILEVER, it is created with its two subordinated tasks TRAVELER and INSTSEG.

Important: A respective assembly as described below must be assigned two each of the tasks after creating them.

Input description of the task group CANTILEVER with its two subordinate tasks TRAVELER and INSTSEG

General

Optional description, selection of the type of time definition (global/local) and optional input of a value different from the default for DShrink (see INSTCONC).

Form Traveler (Task TRAVELER)

Traveler placement

Select the placement for the form traveler defined in the menu Geometry/Placements for providing the required data for creating the load cases.

Side

Select the side on which the form traveler should be considered (Left corresponds to the smaller and Right to the larger station value).

Apply (time t1)

Input the day (local/global) on which the form traveler is applied and acts as weight on the structure.

Remove (time t4)

Input the day (local/global) on which the form traveler is removed (or moved on) and its weight is taken from the structure again.

Assembly: After creating the task, assign those elements as assemblies in whose range the form traveler should be applied (e.g., from the left edge of the cantilever sufficiently far to the right in the direction of the pile axis). By default, you can as well always define the complete active cantilever as the possible range. Based on the geometric data of the form traveler as well as the selected side, the program evaluates the resulting positions of the anchoring points at the respective elements.

Install segment (Task INSTSEG)

Pour (time t2)

Input the day (local/global) on which the concrete of the segment to be erected is poured and thus acts as weight on the existing structure via the form traveler.

Activate (time t3)

Input the day (local/global) on which the formwork is removed and the segment is prestressed and thus becomes part of the active structure.

Assembly: After creating the task, assign those elements as assemblies which comprise the segment to be erected. Further, assign the respective tendons as assemblies which should be prestressed in this step.
