Define property set for an exposure zone

Definition of property sets of the Exposure zone type for verification of crack width limitation

In principle, the same principles apply as described under Define property set line/boundary line for reinforcement.

In addition, the property set area tool is particularly recommended for defining exposure zones, which can be used to define a specific area between two boundary line points along an existing boundary line of the cross-section as an exposure zone.

To create a new property set line or a polyline of the exposure zone type

  1. Select the desired (previously created) property set of the exposure zone type via the property set menu of the cross-section in the navigation tree.

This property set is now active and all subsequent definitions are assigned to this property set.

  2. Click Define Property Set Area.
  3. Click on a boundary line point of an existing boundary line of the cross-section to define the starting point of the line or polyline for the exposure zone.
  4. Click on a second boundary line point on the same boundary line to define the end point of the line or the polyline for the exposure zone along the boundary line.

Note: Please note that the area is defined in the direction of rotation of the boundary line (see red arrow directions).

Then select the desired exposure classes from the drop-down menus in the properties window of the property set.

Note: It is possible to define several property sets on a cross-section for different areas of exposure classes (e.g. top/bottom). In addition, it is also possible (for ease of definition) to define overlapping exposure zones, which are interpreted in the order of their definition (see the Property sets menu in the navigation tree) (subsequent property sets overwrite previous property sets), e.g: Zone1 = entire cross-section circumference, Zone2 = underside of the cross-section.
